Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

rebuilt my bike for winter/next year, just regreased/cleaned things and sprayed some clear coat on the frame so the paint chips don't rust too bad. I also switched handlebars and brake levers, put on a drilled chain ring i had, and put my sealed wheels on for winter.

heres what she looked like last winter, when i was still commuting to school and back with lots of stuff:

and now, set up to fit just like my road bike:

new leather stuff i made for it:

i can imagine riding to the park on that, and pulling out a steaming hot fresh sandwich out of that bag, and then just sitting there the rest of the day. i wish you'd kept the townie bars and basket, to be honest.

Deshi, i really like that especially the purple. Going to look even better when the whites are a little less white.
