Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

It is just like I asked for. Nope, I don't need a smaller frame, I'm a tall girl. All is well. I would not change a thing for me, right now.

now i know this isn't the 'what you hate about my blah blah' thread,
but you need some foot retention for your ride. clips &straps or clipless pedals, cmon now.
if you can hold your own on a fixed, then i'm sure you'll be fine brakeless.
reno is really chill.

That looks like a bike, built to be ridden.

How are the Carbon Deltaforces? I ordered a set of the Aluminium deltaforces, can you ride on the flats? They don't look very grippable.

Except add foot retention i hope? Seriously, without it you're missing half the fun of the fixed gear because you'll be able to ride a lot less agressively and with less confidence. Especially if you're brakeless. Anyway, when you bust your head open we'll talk again. Or not.

not to perpetuate this but i think it needs to be said that riding brakeless without clips is ridiculous but its 10x ridiculous if you're just learning how to ride a fixed gear. people may be coming down kind of hard on this but it's for a reason. you may be able to slow down for a stop sign you see coming a block away, but when someone blows a red light and you need to stop your bike to save your life- you'll be wishing you opted for foot retention.
