Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? octalink crank help

so. I have the dura ace track octalink cranks and the matching bb. I've got the bb installed and I get the crank arms on and tighten them, but there is still play, they can move back and forth a little bit even though tightened all the way. I am matching the splines up, but they still are loose. Did I install the bb wrong or is there another problem?

The crank arm is not seated all the way on the BB IMO.
I have the same set up.
I put one arm on and wiggle it until it is all the way on the axle. I tighten it and if it's not all the way on I start over.

Inspect the splines in the crankarm carefully. Your answer is there.
