Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Wheel suggestions for Schwinn Le Tour conversion

I'm converting a Schwinn Le Tour (not sure what year it is... late 70s or early 80s) to single speed and looking at the following wheelsets:

Vuelta Team XRP Rims (white) + Veulta High Flange Hubs + black bladed spokes (no details)

Weinmann XTR 16 Rims (black) + Formula Hubs + DT Swiss 2.0 spokes

Weinmann DP18 Rims (white) + Origin 8 Hubs (white) + DT Swiss 2.0 spokes

Mavic CXP22 Rims (black) + Formula Hubs (red) + black spokes (no details)

Honestly, I'm only interested in the DP18's or the Veulta's because I can get them in white. I've seen quite a few posts on BF singing the praises of the Mavic CXP22 + Formula sets, so I'm leaning toward those at the moment. In your experience, which of the above is best for just cruising around town in a hilly region with mostly decent road surfaces for a 145-150lb rider?
