A fixie is safe... the bad habit it takes time to unlearn is to coast. A fixed gear bicycle will not allow it so you have to find an appropriate cadence when riding. But its a heck of a lot of fun and its an experience that simply can't be put into words. I have two fixie bikes. Once I tried it, I was hooked. Its like mainlining a drug and soon you have to feed that fixie fever. LOL!!!

Yeah, I'm one crazy dude! :lol:
