Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

bike courier jobs in Vancouver?

Let's say one wanted to get a job as a messenger. Anyone know where to look in vancouver and what the scene is like? Where the services etc? Is it like getting into some kind of secret fraternity or are people cool with newcomers etc.

go on your local craigslist.... search courier/messenger/drivers... you'll get a listing of courier companies seeking vehicle drivers. call them up and inquire about couriering on a bicycle... most courier companies have a few bicycles in their fleet... when i say a few.. i mean 1-3.. plus their army of drivers (50+).
