I picked it up on eBay from a guy who "used it once and realized he needed more setback" for an insanely good price - mainly because he spelled it TOMPSON in the listing and I assume nobody even saw it. :lol:

1. am dissapoint. what do you expect for six bucks? wires hanging out loose in the fragile plastic skeleton body, solder like a snot rag, and doesn't afraid of anything. just rode through some hail and a lot of rain, and it's still working. i give it three weeks before i manage to destroy it. until then, it blinks eyecatchingly without the replacement cost risk of my ultra wonderful boomer.
2. am ultra happy. the leds look STUPID, just hanging out in the open- but the casing is so solid i don't really worry much and it's usb rechargeable and clips onto the rambler without hitting stuff and getting pulled off unintentionally like the radbot. and if it's charged full and pointed at you, damn is it bright. low>med>fast strobe>slow blink=cool patterns. great universal mount included for when it's not clipped to the bakepack.

i also just bought an xray for my wrist. it's tendons, not bones.

the radbot is crazy good. the only reason i bought the axiom spark is because usb recharging is ****** and because the radbot fits great on my rear rack but clipped to my backpack it's easy to knock into things and be pushed off its clip.

i do plan on reviewing the rambler sometime soon. i do carry photo gear in it but not anything seriously yet, so i'm waiting to use it a bit more first. i've just carried my body with a lens and another lens and they've just been floating around in the outside pocket so far. i want to try to pack it up with a lowepro top loader 75 pro in the expansion gusset and see how that do. i have used the pack everyday for a nearly a week through tons of rain and even walked with it nearly fully loaded for about an hour around the city. it's great. rain ain't nothing if your stuff is inside, and i love the two or three different configurations for loading and closing the pack. that's the gist of what i'll write on it. the only quarrel i have with it so far is that there's only four pockets and no organizer. i don't want to be overloaded and weighed down with features, but even chrome bags have places for pens and pencils. the small outside pocket with a waterproofed zipper is great, and easily holds a magic marker, business card case, multitool and pen, but i would have a hard time putting my phone, wallet, keys, and those things in there. this means my sketch book/notepad goes in the big pockets and all the small things fall to the bottom.

i'd say the rambler is perfect for carrying a 13" laptop, a large textbook or two, a rain jacket and a camera plus and all your assorted daily carry items as long as they don't take up more space than say, two sandwiches and a 20oz bottle. it can carry more than that, but by then you might as well be using the expansion gusset. i carry a pump and my gloves in the gusset area of the expansion slot but keep it unexpanded. that gives me some more usable space in the front and rear pockets.

if you carry more than would comfortably fit in a chrome citizen, get the vandal. that's basically what i would say. the vandal is a LOT bigger just looking at it.

I'm waiting for your review dude. I'm seriously excited to hear it because I really want the Vandal.

I've learned i'm bad at keeping my loads down, especially in the winter when I carry jackets and BS in my bag, I end up carrying a huge load (whether weight or size)

I just bought some h+son Formation face rims laced with suzue promax hubs with double butter spokes.
Their super solid and spin smooth because of the promax hubs

I know what you're talking about, I'm currently looking for something like I'm looking for something like this to throw into a backpack without having to carry around a separate camera bag, like a soft shell case for a body w/lens and a spare lens.

The grey insert, not the bag. Preferably pretty skinny with a zip top. I do like the rambler however I think I'm leaning towards the new Chrome yalta because of just the one large main pocket and the cheaper cost.

Thanks! I've been eye-balling it for ages, never took the time to go through the bin for the other arm. Funny thing is, it was sitting on top of everything today. The markings are identical to the driveside and SCORE!!
