What Did You Just Buy For Your Bike?

Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

EDIT: Oh because you own retrogression so that means theyre better and worth the extra $16 i would pay to have them shipped to me. Im sure the seatbelt material is stronger, but not for twice the price.

No need to get mad. Those straps will work fine, but Scrod summed it up pretty much in his previous post.

@jibberishballr: I think you will be fine with those straps and sorry if I came across as an "******"

OK I'll bite.

The Origin 8 straps are used from a nylon weave that is more rough. While that may help the strap stand up better, it won't conform to your foot as well and it may also be abrasive to your shoes. The type of nylon they use will rot in the sun after a while, and individual fibers will start to break down, making the strap brittle and ugly. They're also cheaply manufactured, and you can tell when compared side-by-side to the Retro straps who makes the better product. Scrod's are handmade, and I seriously doubt he'd let a product through that had obvious errors in manufacturing.

YES! And maybe buy another novatec wheelset for it so you can keep them on your FTP; in addition to a wound up fork. And by god it'll be break neck perfect.

A wound up fork is not a miracle part. Any frame with oversized tubing, let it be carbon or aluminium, will not look good with a wound up fork.

Dang... Just price checked on those and they're pretty spendy! (well, for me.) Looks-wise they're pretty similar to the affinity steel fork which is only $125.
