Got myself a Cycle Ops Fluid 2 Trainer (1st Gen version) off of Craigslist for an awesome price (the people who were selling didn't realize how much more they could've sold it). A woman was in charge of selling it for her husband and he stated it was bought new a long time ago but he only used it a couple of times before buying a stationary exercise bike to replace it (collected dust ever since). Tested it out real quick (with his bike which actually had almost no air left in the tubes from not being used) and it seem to work fine.
Now I just should be picking up some heavy duty skewer that would work better on trainers. I also picked up a new jersey and bike shorts this week also. |

Hope these will be more comfortable and less stretchy. At the same time looking around for clipless pedals to switch to for longer rides... |

I have the nylon straps and plastic toe clips for my shorter commute to work. Assuming they're for your Specialized they will be much more aesthetically appealing than steel and leather, plus they're more flexible which works for me since I run into a lot of lights along my route and I'm always in and out of the straps.
Ironically, before getting the steel cages I ordered me some platforms with pedal straps that I didn't use once. They took around a week to arrive and in the meanwhile I figured I like toe clips more than straps. I order prematurely quite often ;) But I hope the MKS GR-10 & nylon clips/straps will be what I need. |
