Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? that sucks. my promax seatpost is my number one least favorite part on the bike. this one's nice and adjustable... not really in length but anywhere in angle, plus you can rotate the 'arm' and get the same sweep in a 90 degree angle back instead of down.

ross- that sucks. the skink is great but that's a pretty huge mix up. they're pretty similar in value msrp, but i would still be pissed.

Bought a VDO A8+ wireless computer today. Great unit for $40 CDN, but of course it only has a 24hr clock. I hate that there is no option to switch it.

Screw the clock. Speed and elapsed time only matter to me.

A cool little part from HALO. It's called the Fix-T, and is a cap that threads onto the unused threads of a flip hub. Ano red finish is a perfect match to my Soma hubs...

Just ordered the Miche Advanced track crank with 49t

Also went to the LBS to have them re-lace my rear Mavic CXP33 to the Miche Primato track hub

I had both the TACX and the MINOURA, worked fine enough
(CUA3, did you try flipping the t bracket to hold the cage farther up?)
But I ended up getting this instead and stopped using those holders on my bikes.
I use cycling bottle instead of the stock bottle (the red nipple broke off after a couple of uses!)
Its made for runners so its light, ergo and comfortable. Strap system well designed.
PLUS it has a RED Blinky strip w/flash modes for night riding!
Zip Storage will fit an Iphone, wallet or keys, its tight tho.

50T chainring, KMC Z610HX chain and a Cateye Loop. Speak of that chain, man it's silky smooth and quiet. $16 well spent.
