What Did You Just Buy For Your Bike?

Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? There you go, acting like I wasn't talking about you. Admitting you have a problem is step one, Charlie.

i don't have a problem. i have eighteen different redundant components that only slightly differ from each other for every moving part of my bike, but that doesn't mean i have a problem. you have a problem! I do what I want! The hooker just needed a ride home! I'll pay you back! Those aren't mine. I was just holding onto it for a friend.

Perhaps he's looking at the bigger picture and is going to give us a thorough review of the differences in each component.

I want an Izumi Eco in Silver, but given i'm blowing the bank ATM I decided to opt with the KMC for half the price with free shipping.

To put an old 42T 144BCD chainring on my S75's.

cause I'm too poor for a superlap.

and I got a Bianchi San Lorenzo full carbon road fork for 70 shipped off eBay.
Going to get a cheap 27.2 fork at the local bike co-op and it looks like my Leader is going to be on the road within a week.

In my opinion, my formerly morbidly disgusting turned morbid attraction of a helmet finally arrived.

Took it for a short ride and its airflow is absolutely phenomenal! I was blown away.
+1 for having a helmeted head that looks like freddy krueger's shaved scalp!

I gave up on eBay ones below MSRP for exactly that reason; I splurged and did a buy it now.... the only reason why these helmets are expensive/ inflated is catlike doesn't have a USA distributor....

that, in my opinion, is wayyyyyyyy too expensive for a non-aero and non-CF helmet

People would pay top money for helmets that are extremely breathable and light. With Catlike, you feel like you're wearing nothing while you are still wearing one.

in agreement with squirrel up there. its not about the aero, or about the material, its about the ventilation.

If this is true the Specialized Prevail is the helmet you want. It also happens to be lighter and more aero.

Having said that, I love the look of the Whisper+! Sadly, Catlikes don't fit my head shape.
