I dropped the post about an inch or so. I adjusted the seat to the best possible position and I'm happy to report after about 130 miles or so on it it's finally feeling a bit better. I can actually bend the top part down with my thumb (where as before it was as solid as a brick). So yeah, it's getting better.

Use compressed air. Buy a can from an electronics store, should be really cheap. It makes a nightmare struggle with thoughts of getting the kitchen scissors out into a 5 second slip easily on and off job. After the first time I tried it, I couldn't believe how easy it was!

The last thing I bought for one of my bikes was some bartape.

Currently fixing up an old Schwinn SS for my granddaughters. Needed new bearings, tires, tubes, rim tape, grips, bell, and pedals.

Red Hutchinson tires, MKS steel toe-cages. Also got a SainTropez seat for free at work. Looks and feels like it came stock on someone's bike, but hey it was free.

I had a can of compressed air and still had trouble. Got them off eventually though and my hands are all raw now. Ouch!

Anyone have the 4mm Champ Grips? Do they provide more cushion or just more hard rubber to grip?

pake are good cheap frames, they're nothing special but they're about as good as a kilo tt.

their cranks are alright too but a lot of their other stuff is crap.

I just ordered a Milwaukee Bicycle Co. 17t Cog and Lockring. I was struggling between this and the Euro-Asia cogs, they are about the same price but I was in a buying local type of mood. Idk, maybe I made a terrible decision? Probably wouldn't be able to notice a difference either way. Saved a dollar.
