Looking to get a fix. (noob)

Not that kind. ;)

Currently riding a Specialized Sirrus for casual riding/fitness/light commuting (Bought it last year with no knowledge on bicycles, regret the purchase, haven't had a chance to ride it till recently). Rode BMX back in the day, so I don't really care for gears and it makes me lazy when it comes to hills, which are few and far (Currently training on a bike path with no hills). Basically looking at a couple options on purchasing a new bike: Start cheap with a KiloTT, Leader frame with good components, something like a Cinelli Vigorelli with cheaper components, or anyone with better recommendations? :twitchy: With any option, I'd upgrade components anytime I could along the way.

I think the Kilo TT looks like a great option. Just add a brake and you're on your way. Then you can upgrade as you like.

check the stickies at the top of the page, they're filled with all the information you ever need.

I'm going to suggest hitting up your local LBS and getting your first bike from there. IMO, you shouldn't order online unless you know exactly what size you need. You will be able to ride the bike at the LBS and see what actually fits.

I see Specialized Langsters, Bianchi Pista, Kona Paddy Wagon, and some built Surly Steamrollers going for under $600 and even in the $450-500 range. Yes, it's a little more expensive, but you will be sure of the fit, you will get free repair work for a year or more, support a LBS, any warranty work will be better, etc. Just my 2 cents.

Case in point:

The LBS that I bought my Sirrus didn't have much for fixed/ss. Just a couple Langsters. I'll check out a couple more stores though for sure.
