Dear Soma
Please stop ruining your track frame with the disgusting Sobe look-alike stickers.
I had enough money to buy you but went with Pake because your stickers are so god-damn ugly it make me sick. Thanks |
you do know that the Soma decal on the main tube and the Rush decal on the TT are removable, right? As for the sun-like decals on the head tube and seat tube, those are not removable (they are under the clear coat) but they aren't THAT noticeable. I don't think they're bad looking either, it's just Soma's logo. Why would you go w/ a Pake just b/c of that? pake's are way heavier and just not as nice in general (lesser material). Personally I love the Soma Rush. I want one. BADLY. I agree the decals are less than perfect, but not a deal breaker for me.

all bike companies should sell bikes with no decals. We will happily pay extra for their frames to help offset the cost of them not advertising.:colbert:

"nice bike, bro"
"thanks, it's a Soma" decals aren't a big deal for me, i can always repaint a frame. |

I wish bikes direct would realize this. They've got the tackiest liveries ever. |

and to PedallingATX its like a pound heavier. big deal. wont even feel it on the street |
I have no problem with bike companies branding their bikes but come on, do they need a logo on every tube?
|
head badges are classy.

yeah Pake is pretty low quality. Soma is wayyy nicer.
|
the soma logo is cheesy. the designer must be stuck in the 90s listening to the worst bands of that era and planning a sweet tribal armband.

I don't think it's THAT bad. It's not good, but I can live with it. It doesn't stick out too much on the frame, either. But hey, if you want a Soma Rush (and I do), you have to live w/ that logo. I like it more than IRO or Surly and definitely Leader.

Hah- good catch. Although I've always compared it to Hank's back

Silly, silly hipster.

If you do get a Soma with no stickers on it, hopefully it'll have a serial number identifiable as a Soma. Otherwise, when you want to sell it, nobody will believe it's a Soma and they'll want to pay used Pake prices for it.
I'm trying to find replacement decals for my '87 Fuso. Without the $40 decal set, it loses a lot more than $40 of its value even though it's still easily identifiable as a Fuso. |
