My New Pink Pake Crank...WTF!

So I bought a new Pink Pake Crank for my GF's bike and it didnt ship with crank bolt or caps and I cant find any specifics on whether or not this company makes or suggests a crank bolt or cap for these cranks. What have some of you other done with your pake cranks?

Crank bolts generally come w/ the BB not the cranks.

Does Pake make a pink BB?

Really, the Campy Cranks I bought came with campy crank bolts where as the Campy BB did not come with Bolts. I also just bought a Shimano UN54 (107)mm BB which is the suggested BB for this crank and this one didnt come with bolts either..

So to answer the second question I dont think Pake makes a BB at least not one that I can find!

I've honestly never looked at a crank bolt and said "you know, I wish this was pink.".

Good luck, I guess.

It's so funny you asked!!

I just bought a pink Pake crank last week off ebay for 40 bucks. Didn't know if I would use it, but figured I could probably flip it for 60 or give it to my gf. Mine came w/ a 46t 1/8" pink chainring. The chainring came attached to the crank with silver chainring bolts. It did not come with crank arm bolts, but most cranks don't come with crank arm bolts. I also have a black Pake crank I got off ebay a month ago. That one also came w/ silver chainring bolts that were already installed when the crank came, but did not come with crank arm bolts either.

I don't think any cranks come w/ crank arm bolts, and I'm pretty sure noone makes pink crank arm bolts. Does it really matter? No one is going to notice your crank arm bolts. Just get silver ones to match your chainring bolts if you really care. Or maybe you could just install it, ride it, and not worry about stupid, minscule things like crank arm bolts. jesus.

Sounds like whoever sold it to you messed that up...
Mine has came assembled with the chainring bolts, My concern is the crank bolts.

read my post, I edited it. At first I thought you were talking about chainring bolts, but I edited my post after I reread your original.

You know, neither have I, but my girlfriend wants it that way and Im trying to keep with a theme. I appreciate the 2 cents however I was actually looking for some input from individuals have a particular interest in the detail of their bikes. Guess youre not one of those kinda bike builders and I appreciate an outside perspective. Guess worrying a little less about the aesthetics of my bike would save me money. ..........maybe in my next life.

I really like the Campy bolts that flush with the outside of their cranks. I know this to be an ISO crank while the Pakes are JISO. Anyone know if the campy crank bolts will work with the JISO Taper and the JISO Crank arms?

Youre right I think silver is the correct alternative......Black((((((Yuck)))))....looks cheap. would be the only thing black on the bike.

I guess you could always just paint the top of your crank arm bolts? it might not match, though. I don't know, I think silver would match b/c it would match the chainring bolts. Again, I don't think it's a big deal, and trust me, I do care about the details of my bike, but that's getting pretty nit picky, IMO. Also, be careful w/ your cranks b/c the anodizing on those Pake cranks can scratch off pretty easily, in my experience. My black one has scratched to silver in a couple little places.

I knew the Pink was a stretch. My response was geared toward whether they(Pake) made a bottom bracket at all, which could have been a bit more realistic however I believe it to not be the case....Soooooooo....................

[B]Can anyone tell me how universal crank bolts are and if I can use crank bolts from ISO cranks on JISO Cranks**********??

Pake makes cheap stuff that does not imply the level of quality that implies free matching hardware. I'd check ebay or srp-usa .com for matching pink crank bolts or maybe dust caps. Couldnt tell you how good it will match the pake crank though as the pake colors are not that great.

the tapers are different but the threads are the same. I have used Campy and shimano interchangably. Campy record bolts are the best since the "cap" is metal whereas the lower end Veloce and some Chorus caps are plastic. Expect to pay ~ 25 for a set of two campy record crank bolts. I use them and I think they look good.

I can't help with pink crank bolts however.

Here are some on fleabay for $20 shipped....https://cgi.ebay.com/Campagnolo-Recor...3A1%7C294%3A50

I feel almost sure that if someone made an anodized colored bottom brackets (even if they came with standard black/silver crank arm bolts) that there are plenty of folks out there who'd buy them.
