How to weigh DIY:

(bathroom scale)
-get on scale by youself (no bike)
-remember your net weight = A
-get on scale again with bike
-jot down weight of you + bike = C

weight of bike(B): B = C-A

Last time I weighed by BK it came in at 19.2 pounds. Probably 19.0 right now.

currently mine is right around 15 lbs.

what are you riding that is 15 pounds?

15 lbs. is not that light. I have seen road bikes weigh in at LESS than 15 lbs (CF crank/saddle/frame/bars/etc) My fg weighs about the same as my road bike ~19 lbs. I bet you could get a pista concept down to 15 lbs no problem.

a sub 15lb road bike also costs a **** ton of money.

64cm 1988 Trek 400, full fenders, rear rack, B-17 saddle... Much like my brevet bike and my utility bike, my ss/fg rig is a tank, too.

On the bathroom scale:

Me = 172lbs

Me + my Pista = 189lbs

But that doesn't seem right at all.

I thought it would be closer to 19 or 20. It's a bathroom scale so I'm not putting too much faith in it. I just figured I'd give it a go when I saw this thread.
