Nitto B-259AA

I want to ditch my dropped bars and get risers, and I like these bars. I found some for about $45. Is this a pretty good deal, or can you suggest any comparable bars? My guy at my local shop has some used straight bars that he will sell me for 5-10, but I want a little rise...

look through your LBS's parts bin and get a set of generic risers of a mountain bike or something for ~$10

I ride the Origin 8 risers because they were cheap. They have held up through three different bikes so far. Not the best finish but I cut mine so skinny, with Oury's on them, there is only about three inches on each side showing. Iv got the silver bead blasted finish. I like them. If you are lookin for a different finish, I ran the Dimension risers on a bike awhil back. The sweep to them felt very comfortable. They were cheap steel chrome bars but looked pretty good.

Hope that helps ya.

I got my risers for $5 at a local Co-Op (bikes not bombs in boston) They had a whole bin full of them

$45 for risers is too much.

Try your local shop. Or just get these: http://www.nycbikes.com/item.php?item_id=346

Hey,

You be careful with that Nitto riser. That diameter of the bar is 23.8mm. I repeat 23.8mm.

This means your usual levers may not fit. Most of MTB-style levers go for ~22mm. This won't fit. Also, this means some of grips with screw clamps won't either. I think it's great if you got it ready to go.

It's certainly beautiful.

Ben's says 25.4, unless something fishy is going on.

I think he means grip diameter no clamp diameter

I found some nice ones in the scrap bin ... they charged me $10, and I put some ourys on it...damn, those these were a ***** to get on! I am kind of pissed because now that they are on, I realized I could have probably sliced of another inch on each side....Not sure I want to go through the trouble of getting them off . Looks nice though...

I bought these (the Nittos) and liked them a lot but switched back to my bullhorns just so I had more hand positions.

I have easton ea30's on my mountain bike. I love them, and they were about $30 on nashbar. They come in 3 different rises (low, mid, high). I have the mids and considered using those on the FG before I bought the Nittos.

I kind of like those b-witch risers.
