How do you calculate RPM (revs per mile)?

70GI = 283 revolutions to travel 1 mile?

yeah? 2.83 miles per minute? 21.2mph....

283 revolutions to travel one mile? I think you're right.

60/21.2
=2.83

=283 revs in 1 mile? makes sense to me...although I'm not that good at math.

First, you divide 5280ft by the circumfrance of your tires in ft. Then, you divide that by your gear ratio.

I will now measure, and disclose when necessary, how many revolutions my bike has on it, not miles

2.83 miles per minute is 169.8 miles per hour. You're looking for revolutions per minute.
