I find Sylvans very uncomfortable, I liked the feel of MKS Gr-9s better but they can get really slippery in the rain.

Yeah Sylvans are really slippery in the rain, too.

+1
I'd recommend the Gr9s also--great, great pedal.

Alright, I'll give the Gr-9s a shot. Thanks:)

Did a quick ebay search and found these:

Whacha think? Seems cheaper than getting everything individually and assembling it.

Haha oh man.. I definitely just ran into a bush coming back from class cause I forgot my brakes weren't on the flat part of the handlebar.

Good times.

hahahahaha

sorry that was mean.

sylvans are very uncomfy, with the wrong shoes. good stiff shoes fix this.

steveymcdubs 05-28-09 11:12 PM

lolol no worries. I laughed my ass off too.

I called a few places around here today and couldnt find a place that had gr-9's. Think you could take a look @ that link and tell me if it looks legit?

You'll be fine, but def keep at last a front brake on, even once you get more experienced. When I lived in U-District, cyclists came really close to getting plastered on my grille guard on several occasions. Just too many people/cars/buses/tight alleys/parallel parked cars, etc...

1.The guy in the vid is riding downhill
2. He is using a freewheel
3. I saw most of the fixed/SS crowd in San Fran pushing their bikes up the hills

Its an awesome bike! I love mine and the Celeste Green color scheme just screams Bianchi! You can't go wrong with it as an all-round bike and not just for CX.
