2020 Cycles has the nicest staff, hands down. They're awesome people. They also expanded a little bit recently, so there's more of a selection on the floor now.
Counterbalance is probably the most fixed gear oriented shop that I know of. Also some really good people working there as well. No fixed gear boutiques yet like Chari & Co or Trackstar or whatever else is in NYC, thank god. |
Cool, I might go check them out tomorrow. I've been itchin to give fixed a shot, but I'd have to get an entirely new wheelset. If only I got the '07 san jose :/

We all ended up riding to golden gardens, then I got stuck out there riding back myself all the way to beacon hill with no lights on 15th. That was fun. |
Glad to hear it was fun. How do you find out about them?

Ah man, that would of been a nice ride but missed it. BTW did you ever do that female alley cat?
Critical Mass is the last Friday of every month. If you want something a bit more fast paced you can check out Humpday Hustle, every Wednesday and meet at Red Square on the UW campus. I was riding with my friend in Ballard and he asked me when the race was. I absentmindedly said "Oh like the 22nd or something" and he said "oh so its today?" I knew I wasnt going to make it all the way from Ballard to downtown in 5 minutes before the race started. I really wanted to do it! So stupid. :notamused: Im actually thinking about doing one of the Humpday Hustles this coming Wednesday. How "fast paced" is it? I think after this month of intense riding I should be able to keep up. Anyway-Ill try my hand out at that and see how I do. |

Just thought I'd put this in this thread since it's nearby. I'd buy some of the stuff, but I don't have a car :/

1) Recycled Cycles, REI, and GHY in Renton where they're all down with fixed gears. I go to Gregg's and Performance rarely, and almost never buy anything...just tubes or something small/random.
2.) No, but I wouldn't be surprised. |
