Opinions Please
I'm getting a wheelset built up for me, Velocity Deep V (Teak) and a Mavic Open Pro. Should the v be on the back or front? I figured back so it dosen't take as much damage and i'm going to be running a front brake for a bit and it has no machined sidewalls.
Brakes aside though, if i was running none, would you put the Deep V on the back or front? I am new to fixed gear and i will be running a flip flop hub incase i'm not satisfied, what is the average size of cog i need? What's the differences between the sizes? 15t to 19t, i don't know what i would rather. Freewheel? |

if it's fixed and i skid, that dosen't effect the rim only the tire, right? so then yes, back would be correct for the deep v.
and my chainwheel is quite large, but it's welded to my crank arm, so i'm not switching it out just yet, but it has 52teeth, so i should be running a 17t cog with the 52t chainwheel? |
