Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Anvil Bikes - great site

Check this site, but only if you have an hour or so to spend reading about frame materials, construction, etc. If you have less time, just take a look at the pics posted...some really sweet track frames & fixies....the drilled track ends are sooooo cool looking. The site is cumbersome to navigate, but, heck, you're all resourceful folks.

yea nice drops... although all that space makes me worry about it's ability to withstand much pressure. Any thoughts?

I'm thinking that builder sounds like he knows his stuff so I wouldn't be overly concerned...although I doubt he'd do the same thing for a real track guy like Marty Nothstein (sp?). Does anyone remember the drilling craze of the late 70's/early 80's? They drilled out levers, cranks, even frame tubes...crazy stuff. Sure looked wicked though.
