New user looking at a Kona King...
I'm looking to sell my car and buy a bike for my commute to work. I'm a very active person so I would like a single speed so I can really get a good workout in. I'm not too keen on buying a bike brand new off the rack. I used to mountain bike and had a fully built Cannondale Cad3 as a teen (a bike I built 100% by myself, frame up).
I recently came across this Kona, but I have no idea how much to offer. I've copied the ad, but it's in French so please bare with me: Pneu Vittoria Zaffino rouge (neuf) Guidon Easton MonkeyBar EA70 (neuf) Frein Shimano 105 (neuf) Tige de selle Easton EA50 (neuf) Collet de selle EVO (neuf) Gusset Single Speed (neuf) DMR Tension Seeker 2 (neuf) Potence Easton EA50 (neuf) Grips rouge (neuf) Rims Mavic Aksium Race Headset FSA Fourche Kona Carbone Cadre Kona Zing Alu Chaine Shimano Gaine de cāble de frein http://i40.tinypic.com/2evyr9f.jpg Any input would be appreciated, thanks! |
I should also add, it's been a while since I've been in the bike scene so I have no idea about the quality of the components or the frame itself, so if anyone has some input, that would be awesome.
Thanks! |
well that is a road bike with vertical dropouts. If you are just planning to run a single speed, it wil probably work fine. If you want to run a fixed gear, you will need a bike that has horizontal dropouts or track ends.
Other than that issue, I think it's a great bike. I don't know how much I'd offer, though. Tell him 350 and see what he says. Those wheels are pretty nice... |
