all the haters are missing the point of this thread. it's not for road bikes or mountain bikes or commuter bikes, it's for those of us who identify ourselves as fixed gear/ss aficionados yet still have some gears laying around. the forums, at least in my experience, are divided not by the bike we own, but with what kind of cyclist we identify ourselves as.
most of us, if we post our bike in the roadie forum we'll get no love for not being full carbon with dura ace. if we post in the mtb forum we'll get no love for not having full suspension or custom hardtails. if we post in the commuter forum we'll get no love for not having lights and fenders. the BFSSFG forum has always been the gathering point for misfits and it still is, even though all we do is hate on each other (so maybe they do get the point?)

Anyway, here's my roadie:
From the top of a pass looking west toward Myanmar. The steer tube issue has since been dealt with.

Where's 55/Rad's chrome Pinarello to blow everyone's minds.
If someone posts that bike, might as well shut this thread down. Can't post after that bike has been posted.

and before i show you the paramount, let me come clean and say that it's one of the japanese 'series' bikes, not a waterford...but still, it was silver brazed by panasonic. not too shabby.
also, due to the (OEM) color ('blue velvet gas', like after i eat mexican), it has been molested with an over the top ode to 90s anodized parts build out (bar ends and bolt kit baby!).
i also have purple rims in hand, but they await appropriate (ie: purple) hubs. anyone have a set of 28h?
i'd have purple brakes too, but those maggie hydros rock so hard that i can't bring myself to take 'em off.

I love it! It rides great and is pretty light for steel. That bike as is in the picture weights less than my 80's Le tour fixed gear. The tubing is so thin it rings when things tap it, kinda funny in group rides because no one can figure out where it is coming from haha. The only thing I have changed since I got it is the wheels and added the aero bars.

It's in my signature, but here it is:
Not the best pictures, but you get the idea. I built up a new front wheel since those pictures though. I ride this for everything; cross, road rides, commuting, etc. No real need for a true road "race" style bike for me now, so this does a great job.
