Tron Boy goes to the Tour

So every morning I come into the office, pour a cup of coffee and instead of working begin to read Velonews.

Imagine my surprise when reading the Tech Talk column this morning when I read this:

" In other news, I just got off the phone with Specialized's Kevin Franks, who dropped a small hint regarding what Mario Cipollini might be wearing at this year's much-anticipated Tour prologue.

Franks, who told me that Cipo' is a huge fan of everything Eighties, forwarded me the source of inspiration for his new time-trial skinsuit. And while you might think it hard to top Cipo's "Roman Emperor" regalia, or his "Anatomy Lesson" skinsuit of two years ago, if anything can do it, this can. Check it out here - and no, this is not a joke."

Seriously, I'm not making this up. Read it for yourself.

After the crash and burn he did in the Giro, maybe a pseudo body armor skin suit with electric lights is what he thinks he needs for the other riders see him and stay away from him.

Or, he could just be looking for ways to get attention now that he isn't so visible at the front in the finishes.

Cipollini reads the fixed gear forum? To think what that thread has inspired.

Today, this forum. Tomorrow, the world!!! HA! HA! I am everywhere and I am nowhere. The second you think I'm gone I will reappear in the most unexpected places. My roots run deep in your society. I can manipulate the top riders, governements, millitaries and even the lowliest person on the streets if i choose to. You have been warned! I AM TRONMAN AND I AM FOREVER!

I have built Nanobots programmed to seek your form.
We isolated DNA from toenails found in your refuse.
The Nano robots have been released and represent no harm to any other Earth citizens as they are programed to only source DNA of John Maynard.

You will be deconstructed from the interior Tronman.
Can you feel my 'bots under your skin yet?
Itchy?

Go ahead, scratch.

No pictures yet, but Cipo was Tron for the prologue.

Something about the strangeness of truth as compared to fiction comes to mind.

True. And the blending of the world of fiction with reality will no doubt lead us all to insanity.

Yes-

Although it lost some of the effect when the Tour made him cut the legs off the skinsuit. You can see the jagged scissor marks.
