Crank Arm Recommendations
I need to get myself a new set of crank arms for my Bianchi. I'd prefer 165mm, and the lighter the better. Any good sites for track parts? Recomendations of brands?
I can pick the bike up with my pinky now, but she could be lighter... I don't think having a 170 on one side and a 165 on the other is helping my knees any, either. Thanks |

Damn - you must know way better keywords than I do... I was wondering why I only got one page of hits...

you need more PBR. Go for the Sugino 75s if you can land 'em
|
Check the Shimano Soras out here:
http://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/fixed.html#kits I have them and am pleased and they are '65s and they are cheap, about 65 bucks new and aluminum! |
Or to spend more time when I'm working on e-bay - I try to resist the temptation...

Soras area cheaper, but heavier. I'd go with the vintage Sugino's...solid, plus the crown stamp gets points

I know someone who has bought a bike just because it had a set of 171mm Suginos... And it's payday... Hmm... What will I be doing before I go into work? |
Or grab a set of 105 with the hollow arms. Almost a 1/2 pound lighter than the Soras. Downside is you have to go to the Splined BB, but there again it is lighter as well....
