Speciale Sprint vs Soma Rush
 

looking into both of these frames for street use. any opinions from people who have ridden either? also does anyone know if the masi is drilled for at least a front brake?

Rush. Gotta love Tange prestige.

These two frames are remarkably similar. The Masi has slightly better welds (if even noticeable to a quick look over). I looked into both of these frames quite extensively and ended up with a Rush and haven't regretted that decision (the rush is ~$100 cheaper). Both frames are, as mentioned, drilled for front and rear brakes. The Rush also has water bottle bosses, unlike the Sprint).

the masi gets my vote. i never rode a rush but i can guess it's a little lighter than the sprint. it's a pretty heavy frame, but if you aren't a weight weenie that's easy to get over.

both the Rush and the Sprint are very light weight frames. I've held both in my hands (straight from the box and assembled). The weight difference between the two isn't even notable.

if this is your argument, you should know that the speciale sprint is made with reynolds 631.

and yeah, those frames are not heavy. not by a long shot.
