Pictures of new Eighthinch.com crank set and polished SR stem
Hey everyone I snapped a couple of quick pictures of the new Eighthinch.com crank set and my polished SR stem that will be going on my conversion. The crank set was extremely affordable ($50 I think from Ebay) and it looks OK. It does not look real high-end, but it looks good and fits the specs for my build and should work perfect for it. It's a 46t chain ring by the way.
I brought the SR stem home from college today in hopes of polishing it and boy was I shocked. I used Adams metal polish for it. I highly suggest it to anyone wanting to polishing any oxidized or dull-looking parts for their bike. It went from a dull-luster silver to a nearly chrome finish. Sorry about not taking any before pictures of the stem, I didn't even think about it. Hope this is helpful to someone! The polish can be found at: http://www.adamspolishes.com/ They have an entire line of car detailing supplies that really do work and aren't highway robbery like some other high-end polishes out their. Oh and I am not a rep. or anything for them, I just like their products! *Well it looks like my computer does not want me sharing my pictures with you at the moment so I will try to get them up soon* |

It looks like a road double. That doesn't detract anything from it, from a technical point of view, but I know a certain demographic that will be deeply hurt by that.

I understand this also. What we are mostly after is an incredible price- without compromising integrity or quality. I think that demographic may be buying more expensive cranks anyhow :) |

Haha- very funny
Slightly weaker, lighter, and skinnier (edit:the chain). If a rider plans on doing serious track work, wouldn't they spend more than $50 on a crank in the first place? |
