I would argue that you are the problem with people; instead of learning how to write effectively, or contribute to society, you spent all your time bullying fat kids and stealing chocolate milk... you "complacent little puke".

Anyway, bottom line... just don't ride so hard and you wont sweat as much, i always take it easy on the way into work, then push hard on the way home, it works out just grand for me.

as always Ken Cox drops in with the science behind it
My real advice is bring a clean shirt to work in your bag and change when you get, there a small towel helps too one of those small microfiber ones or a shamwow!.
Also pack a can of axe or whatever flavour body spray you prefer coupled with a spare stick of antiperspirant IMO the gel type just make a damn mess when it get jumbled so go solid YMMV.
that is how I generally do it and I ride year round with summer temps topping 120 on the black top some days.

You can coast on freewheel bikes, during which time you aren't doing any work and would presumably be sweating less.
On fixed gear bikes you are always doing work, and thus are more likely to sweat given the same distance traveled.

The same reason we write about hills and knees and fixed gear bikes.
An acquaintance at work said he would ride bikes, except he didn't like arriving at work all sweaty, even though I never come to work "all sweaty."

I only have fixed gear bikes, and so if I write about bikes and sweating I can only write from experience about fixed gear bikes and sweating.

The possibility exists that the OP is just one of those people, like myself, who sweats a lot regardless of fitness/activity level.
I can barely walk outside from one end of our building to the other without needing to dab my brow with a paper towel. It's hot (for Seattle) today and I'm going to look like somebody tossed me in a pool by the time I finish my 20 mile commute home.

I started packing a fresh shirt for when I do a short run in the park and then go to work. You can get some pretty nifty, really breathable shirts made of wicking fibers and the like to make your ride there pretty bearable. I'm definitely a sweat bomb just waiting to go off. Oddly enough backpacks don't really help with keeping you dry.

Wear clothes that ventilates and breathes more. Cotton is very absorbent but bad at wicking away sweat so it just stays soaked. Maybe wear a performance wicking shirt like a workout shirt and change when you get to the party.
They also make casual shirts that have side vents and quick drying fabric at camping supply stores like REI or EMS.
