100 chain links likely to be enough?

Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

100 chain links likely to be enough?

.. on a standard chainstay length, with a 49T in the front, and ~16T in the rear?
I don't have the bike built up yet, nor am I at home at the moment. Looking to place an order for a few more parts.

what's 'standard length' and why does this matter? break the chain when you've got your wheel and crankset on and you've measured it.

I'm not worried about too many, I'm worried about not enough.

i don't think it's really an issue at all. it's not an absurd ratio, you should be fine.

if i were you, i'd just buy two chains. if one's enough, awesome! use the other chain when this one dies. if not, add more links.

I've got 100 links exactly, and it just fits with my 45x16 drivetrain on a 57cm frame
