What is your clipless pedal/shoe set-up?
I'm looking into going clipless, so I figured I'd ask you clipless fixed people here for any of your opinions on your personal set-ups.
What pedals are you using? What shoes are you using?
Likes and dislikes relating to everyday street use, or racing/touring use?

I use Shimano a520

enough of a platform to use regular shoes in a pinch on my SS.
I use my mtb shoes to clip in. It lets me walk around without scraping the cleats.

On my road, Speedplays (best road pedal ever, imo) and Shimano road shoes.
For fixed, Time ATACs and Shimano mountain shoes (walkable).

I use Sette Elite Carbon Road Shoes along with Shimano 105 pedals. I am happy with the setup - though it is my first. Have had it for about an year with no complaints.

Hmm, is it common for people to use mtb shoes because of being able to walk in them better? How annoying is it to walk around in clipless road shoes?

I use Specialized mtb shoes with a really stiff sole.

i just picked up some cannondale MTB shoes and eggbeaters recently. i'd say definitely go MTB if you plan on ever having to walk anywhere farther than a couple yards. clacking around on your heels would seem pretty annoying to me.

on my geared road bike I use shimano pd-m520 mtb pedals and the cheapest pair of mtb shoes they had at the bike shop. I chose to not go with road pedals because i don't race or anything and I sometimes like to walk around when i'm off my bike during rides.
I love the system, but not a huge fan of the shoes, i'll upgrade them eventually.
I'm going to buy clipless pedals for my fixed, but first i'm gonna try and pay off some of that credit card debt building up my geared bike left me with.

For some reason this thread made me look into road pedals and I just ordered some shimano 105 pedals. Damn online impulse shopping.

I use Time Atacs with Pearl Izumi Vagabond mountain shoes. It's my first clipless setup, and I have no complaints about the Atac pedals. The shoes ($36 shipped from nashbar) have a very spiky/chunky tread and every now and again they get caught on the pedal. Walkability is somewhere in the middle, and the construction looks a little shoddy to me. The sole is a solid piece of plastic, which is the biggest reason I went with them instead of something more...um...pretty.

Damn that's a nice set up though. I was looking into the options from sidi, and I like what I see. Definitely in the higher price range, but I thought I was seeing the genius 5 shoes online in the $130 range. But that might have been close-out prices on awkward sizes. They have cheaper models though as well, and I'm looking into them.
