Suicide Hubs

Hello, long time reader/searcher; first time poster.

Has any one ever heard of a suicide hub with instead of a BB lock ring, a tig welded bead retaining the cog on?

And Im not talking about welding the cog on, Im talking about putting a bead on the aluminum hub

unnecessary. Just rotafix. You probably wont destroy the hub (like the weld will) and it will be tighter than you could ever remove with just your legs.

What if the wheel/cog are both 'junk', and do not mind if ruined.

still unnecessary, but go for it, then.
