Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I can't remember. It was some aluminum thing that a friend had on him when I met up. I still throw Freehands. Aluminum never really did much for me. Plastic is fantastic.

Oddly enough, there is one apparently just called "Gun." I forget who makes it though. I haven't been involved in yoyos in a couple of years. Seems like Yoyo Factory is doing some interesting things these days but I could be way off base.

Yomega Fireball (the original one) was my favorite. I had a purple one, it was amazing. I need to get a new one.

Full metal yoyos are pretty awesome these days, I have to say. The only thing I don't dig on is the need for a bind return, but I guess that's where things are going. The last one I bought was one of those cool marbled Freehands at Nationals 2 years ago. Still have a case full of original Freehands, including some limited editions. I'll have to dig that out sometime. I guess I was just happy with one kind and stuck to it.

i love the added challenge of the bind return though, and once you master the bind it's just becomes second nature. freehand yoyos also have a greater selection of tricks. offstring yoyos are pretty f*ckin awesome too, but theyre extremely hard.
