i want a full metal yoyo like the YF 888 or fool's gold. ive got an aluminum/plastic dark magic and a plastic duncan freehand zero which i love.

Full metal yoyos are pretty awesome these days, I have to say. The only thing I don't dig on is the need for a bind return, but I guess that's where things are going. The last one I bought was one of those cool marbled Freehands at Nationals 2 years ago. Still have a case full of original Freehands, including some limited editions. I'll have to dig that out sometime. I guess I was just happy with one kind and stuck to it.

i love the added challenge of the bind return though, and once you master the bind it's just becomes second nature. freehand yoyos also have a greater selection of tricks. offstring yoyos are pretty f*ckin awesome too, but theyre extremely hard.

I suppose so, but I find it forces you to be smooth when you're threatened with having your knuckles smashed if you screw up. These kids today just don't know how to be smooth.

ive been yoyoing for just over a month, and i think i have hit my knuckle once. even then you can just shake it off haha. id say im relatively smooth depending on the combo, but you're right, many people are all over the place and extremely messy with freehand yoyos; it just take practice and practice and a little more practice to even be decent.

Come to Chico the first Saturday in October. It's quite the show.
