Ok, when the hipster "freestylers" with their pink bikes and colormatched deep-v rims start doing stuff like that I'll stop laughing at them too.

Zachee 08-21-09 11:58 AM

The OPs video were the most impressive tricks I've seen on a fixed gear that wasn't art cycling.

MPLSdunk 08-21-09 12:06 PM

yea, i don't really get into fixed gear tricks like that either. his style looks alot smoother and cleaner than most. most fixed gear tricks look all sketchy like they always just barely land their tricks. his were not though.

TRaffic Jammer 08-21-09 12:11 PM

trials rider is why

lol @ the ****ers in this thread who are calling a pro trials rider a "noob" and telling him to get foot retention.

LupinIII 08-21-09 03:01 PM

i kinda wondered quietly to myself what it would look like if a trials rider tried fixed.

and it was awesome.

happytruck 08-21-09 03:37 PM

Sweet fixies

BenReed 08-21-09 03:58 PM

That wasn't half bad!

ilikebikes 08-21-09 04:10 PM

I thought it was sweet! the end of the horse was ****ing funny! and I used to hate on those FG trick dudes too! :o

adriano 08-21-09 04:37 PM

that was a fun video.

antonch 08-21-09 05:26 PM

I never understood why someone would want to do tricks on a fixed gear, they were not designed for that kind of abuse. Forks are pretty skinny, tires are pumped up to 120psi, the wheels are pretty flimsy. Just buy a BMX bike for tricks, or use the fixie just to ride it like it was meant to be.

lol @ the wooshes in this thread who are wooshing "woosh" and wooshing woosh to woosh woosh.

Noobert 08-21-09 05:51 PM

Bikes are ment for riding, not tricks. Doing tricks make them a novelty, like a skateboard.

TRaffic Jammer 08-21-09 05:55 PM

classic bunny hop style, just like ollies on a skateboard, pull up push forward on the front.

sanderswm 08-21-09 05:58 PM

Is this the part of the thread where we argue that fixed gear tricks are way less impressive than a half-decent BMX rider? Or should that wait till page 2?

bicycle 08-21-09 05:59 PM

lerp derp derp get a bmx, uhh front brake, uhhhhhhh saddle angle

ALaS 08-22-09 11:39 AM

Do you guys know who this guy is....? Probably one of the most amazing bmx riders alive.

Fugazi Dave 08-22-09 11:53 AM

Oh I know. Dude is ****ing amazing. That said, the "lol first time on fixed" subject line got me wrong at 7:00 AM. I think the video's quite OK, actually, and the rider himself fantastic.

exfreewheeler 08-22-09 11:56 AM

He does things that Jackie Chan does - but on a bike.

... damn!
