Rubber Insoles or Inserts as Shims

Actually I've found my wife's insoles are thick rubber shims with a lower percentage of cloth filler on one side. So now we know they aren't as alien and dangerous as aluminum and won't scratch our tubes/bars. I think the actual "joke" is Shim Companies gouging us $10 for a couple thin ones when the material for two probably costs them pennies.

I've tried and tested and they work better than the commercial shims I used to trace them.

If you don't believe me, oh well.
