Scrambler wheels ??

Hi all, I have a Scrambler on the way and some build questions. I have a set of road wheels with the quick release's. Is it possible to use those on the "track style" drop outs? If not I have been looking at these- http://www.bicyclewheelwarehouse.com...&productId=194
Mavic Open Pro, Formula hub, 32 spoke. Have a set of Speacialized All Condition Armadillo 700-28 that my road bike will lose to this build.

I am a 2nd time newbie. About 175 lb, hoping to hit 160-165. This bike will be used for commuting and bombing around near town. I've never been too hard on wheels. Will start with free wheel. I would prefer to save a bit of weight vs get more aero at the cost of weight. I used to love hammering the hills. Right now I am just getting in base miles so hopefully I can really do some hill work next summer. Not looking forward to winter!

I have an old Dura-Ace crankset, criterium bars, brake set, and couple of saddles to pick from. I like the single speeds simplicity and want a low maintainance, reliable, fun to ride, ride.

I picked up a Redline monocog 29er that will get it's knobbies back when the Scrambler gets built. It will be my cold weather walk the dogs bike.

Thanks in advance, MikeB

road rear hubs are 130mm wide, track frames and rear hubs are 120mm.

Best just get a rear wheel and use your front wheel as that will be ok (both 100mm on the front)

Quick Releases are not a safe idea on standard Track Dropouts. They simply do not provide enough bite, and thus, they bring the issue of slipping in the dropouts.. Or at least, this is my understanding of it.

Otherwise, sounds like you've got everything all settled out.
