I've ridden the 2010 Cutter (my lbs had a demo one). For the price, its a really nice bike. I have to say though, it's hella ugly in my opinion. You can't really see it that well in the pic, but that saddle and TT protector are sparkly.

Your cog is slipping.
The pic on the Schwinn site shows Alex g6000s but lists something different in the specs (Weinmann DP-2000s?).

I love my Maddy, its never let me down, not even a ****ing flat! Most cyclist that down the Maddy have never even seen one in person let alone ridden one, heres mine that I'm sad to say I havn't been able to ride for about 2 months now due to illness (hence all the dust) but I'll be back in the saddle very soon! Yippie!

I've always been real fond of that blue color and the old-style headtube badge looks awesome. Maybe someday I'll find an '08 for sale and grab it.

And lol @ the Rob guy.
Also, the new Schwinn Madison color is hot. I am definitely diggin' it.
They are not horribly heavy. My friend's seemed much heavier than my TT Pro, but his weighs nothing now because it was stolen.

Wasn't the 09 Madison $650 and therefore the price has come down? I think I read somewhere that a lot of bike prices are coming down due to currency rates being slightly for favorable than they were a year ago.

Just having an 853 frame makes that bike worth $800.
IMO the Sprint is the best factory singlespeed bike you can buy, period.

I've ridden the Sprint. It's made of Reynolds 853, which is better (and much lighter) than any other steel you'll find under a grand, including the Jamis Sputnik and IRO Angus.
