What makes me crack up about the SS/FG forum so much, is that folks brag and boast about how they "love simplicity" yet over-complicate everything. Argue over brakes (breaks), trying to add length to their headtube for bAr$p1nz, mounting the brakelever (breaklever) to wierd positions (under seat, top tube, etc), and countless wierd set-ups and conversions.

I thought SS/FG was all about Zen and "one-ness"... however, aside from the Road forum, this place is filled with cranky haters. It reminds me of when I used to work at a gym and the worst complainers and b|tchers were the "peaceful" yoga people. :lol:

Ooh, I love this one! Internet tough guy gets all tough, someone calls him out, internet tough guy says he wasn't doing what he did like 2 posts above, and tries to get all smart ass despite not quite having the smarts to do it. Person being trolled doesn't realize it's happening until it's too late, and both are sucked into a vortex of "Nuh uh!" "Yeah huh!" much to the amusement of the rest of the forum.

In these parts, we tend to call them DUI bars too but usually the DUI guys usually all ride crazy looking department store mountain bikes that feature huge shocks on just about every part imaginable. They're also fond of riding in a really high gear...pedaling their asses off and going nowhere...on the sidewalk (on the wrong side of the road, naturally). My wife and I often joke that Mongoose or Huffy should just get on with it and make a bike called "The DUI", sold exclusively at Walgreens.

Ilikebikes, as to the argument about whether or not they are called bum bars, just because you've never seen "bums" riding like this doesn't negate the fact that the entire rest of the universe calls them bum bars. Now would be a good time to stop being so defensive (seriously, you've responded to every single thing directed at you with either a "nuh-uh" or a "you are.") and just say, "huh, I never knew those were called bum bars. That's funny." Then you don't look like such a tool. Just get with it and stop being so contrary and pissy.

I think that bike should be a tricycle and have a gearing that makes it practically impossible to go faster than 10 mph.
