I love this frame, but I'm having difficulty finding info on it.

I know they were initially made in '93, but I can't seem to find any other information.

Is this just another case like the GT triple-triangles where the subculture drives up demand?

It's about nostalgia. Like when you get a whiff of a perfume a love of long ago used to wear. The memories and feeling come rushing back.

The old Cdale frames were so sexy, that's why they're special.

If youve ridden a different aluminum frame, then get the chance to ride a Cannondale, youll understand why people love em so much.

I know I love mine. Ride and handling is super smooth.

i like the color of them and the clean welds. Don't think they're worth anywhere near what ppl. pay for them, though. I would much rather have a concept.

Also, there is a GT Pulse for sale on CL in Austin right now. $500 for complete bike...

Ya, I sent an email. If he responds I'll go pick it up, ride it for a little while, and flip it. I don't think he realizes what it's *worth*

He will now if he hangs here and there is a good chance of that. I list on CL and then see people post in BF asking if it's a good deal. I just keep my mouth shut until things are sold.

cannondale's welds are nice looking due to post weld filing and heat treatment, which generally is bad form, however they use copious amounts of 6061 filler, allowing them to clean them up.

haha, yeah maybe, but I really doubt it. Most cyclists, even ones who are really into it, don't use BF. Even if he does read this forum, how would he know who I am in real life?

bumpin this to see if there's any more real world experience with this frame. a friend is selling one and i'm interested. i'm also wondering if this frame is actually good, or if it's mostly urban legend hype based on old standards.

i don't even need this dumb thing, so i probably won't get it... but i've wanted one for a while

Can't say that I've ridden a Cannondale Track, but as I understand it, they are the same geometry as the earlier CAAD road frames, of which I have one and love. They are a bike for going fast.

The tarckbiek sir?

I wouldn't mind having one, but the price is just a tad too high for me and the ones on sale are always too big for me. And, realistically, that's a friggin ridiculous price for a 20 year old aluminum frame. All in the name of tarck and steez.

i love my r2000. i wonder if the hplusson has been cancelled, or if it will have the same ridiculously wide downtube and sexy stay cluster. should be even stiffer.

as far as i can tell he had a lot of difficulty finding a builder that could put out a large enough number of frames for a decent price that would be willing to use filler aluminum and filing the welds. now I don't think the premium sweet fixie for the streets market is as strong as it was before, so it's probably never going to happen.

and yeah this is the ugly black one my friend is selling.
