Cog lock ring doesn't fit?!

So I installed a new Surly Cog on my Dimensions hub last night. I then attempted to thread Lock Ring on however it appears it's too small. I thought Lock Rings were only one size any suggestions?

Are you threading it on the right way? You know it's reverse-threaded right?

did you put the cog on the freewheel side where there are no smaller threads for the lockring? On the fixed side of the hub, assuming it's fixed/free, there will be one set of threads right next to the flange and then a smaller set of threads further out. On the freewheel side there will just be one set of larger threads because there is no need for a lockring.

ahhhh i knew it didn't look right, i thought this was a fixed/free when i bought it! It has threads on both sides however they're only for freewheels, dang it!!!

Its a free/free hub? You sure? I can't say for sure, but I can't imagine why Dimension would sell a hub with that configuration.

I had a freehub installed on the one side when i first bought it and it only has one set of threads on the other side. I thought that was awfully strange too but obviously didn't realize it until I wanted to put it on my new Schwinn Conversion, dang it!

Are you sure the original freewheel was put on freewheel threads? It's possible it was put on the fixed side. If so, you should see a gab between the freewheel and the hub threads.
