op, how tall are you, that bike looks like about a 64, so unless you are at least 6'3" or so, it is waaay too big (just looking at the pics, the seat is all the way down=too big)
EDIT: I think the appeal of the fenders actually comes from their small size. Sorta like an abstract fender. *Edit: I have no real contribution as is pertains to your specific wheel problem =( |
psirue: Ill post pictures of my bike with carbon wheels and it'll be even more hilarious when I post pictures of your wife/girlfriend in my bed.:love:
Does anyone on here have photoshop skills and can show me what the bike will look like with black wheels. |
Because I swear I have seen that bike before--- like on bikesnobnyc or somewhere like that.
Nice try though....

I joined this forum for help because I dont know a single thing about the 1000 different wheel combinations I can choose; the LBS suck for help. |
So ACYL felt compelled to send me an obscene (apparently, since it has been auto-censored) PM?? I would suggest that he (?) is definitely just playing you all.
BTW- the image he posted is hotlinked from another site. FYI. |

You can find plenty of 27" chrome full fenders off of old Schwinns if you know where to look. Otherwise, pretty much any road fender could be fit on there. Yes, of course I agree. But, in a way that's part of their charm. They definitely look good and being a-functional is sort of the cherry on top. It's for old school looks. Now, on the other hand, if the man actually wants/needs fenders then the little cuties have to go. |
BTW, that is not a super letour, dropouts are not correct and the super letour had 3 piece cranks.
|
That looks like a chromed out continental to me. Mostly because there is a continental sitting right behind me and it looks the exact same minus the chrome bit. Note that it is electroforged. I'm pretty sure the only electroforged schwinns were the continental and the varsity.
Whatever those fenders pretty much rule. |
After making my initial post I did some research and I agree. I believe it to be a chromed continental. The guy I bought it from said it was either a super letour or a continental.
The proof being the electroforged frame and the 1 piece crank. I have 2 other continentals sitting around and it looks the same. I just dont understand who would spend the money to chrome a continental. Either way I think it'll make a slick fixie. I decided to go with the formula hubs but still debating on the rims. Black or chrome... |
I'd go black rims in order to have some balance to it.

You speak in a very proper manner but you still come off as an *******.
