Thoughts on the 2010 Giant Omnium?
Just saw this on the Giant Japan website, a bit pricey, but looks nice. Although it's priced in the middle Fuji Track comp and pro.
It also has the elusive black truvativ Omnium crankset too! must be worth it! Also weighs in at 7.7kg. Those rims look heavy, so I am sure it can loose a bit more with a good set. http://www.giant.co.jp/giant10/image...P0000016_l.jpg Link for more deets. |
for 1350 looks like a good deal, its a little on the heavy side though
|
Although I might just save my money and get the new 2010 Giant Glory 1.
Not SS/FG, but it does look sweet. And only 16.3kg for an 8" travel bike with the new 2010 boxxer fork! http://www.giant.co.jp/giant10/image...P0000043_l.jpg |
Over 10kg = gross
|
I will report back in the afternoon about my thoughts on this bike.

The Omnium is a very solid track bike but I think you will find it rides too harsh for street use. |
That's what people say about the fuji track pro, but plenty of people ride them just fine on the streets.
Anyway, I am leaning more towards a DH bike for my next bike now. |

Nice, but I can't take it through a steep technical rock garden decent, or drop 6" to flat with out a second thought on it. But it will climb though much better, but that is what the cable car is for!!!!
