Either you don't drink enough, so you're dehydrated and delusional, or you need to ride longer. Water bottles are a Very Good Thing.

Camelback.

Why settle for black bolts when you can get see-through ones?

HA

I rode one down at the fixed gear LBS and I like it for the price. They wanted $600 for it. The Sugino crank is a big plus IMO and the wheels look good but I don't think the finish will last too long on them.
The finish on the chrome fork is pretty cheesy, like on the Madison but the all white frame/fork looked pretty nice. I think it might be available as a frame set only which is NOT a good deal.

If it was 3 years ago and this came out I would get one and a quill stem is ok as I will give up the benefits of threadless cuz I like the look of the quill.

Wow. I really like this.... A lot... and I do need to upgrade from my crappy conversion... hummmm...

What do you guys think? Is it worth spending the money to get one of these over a Kilo of some sort?

Isn't reynolds 520 just another way of saying 4130?

Yes, 520 is just the "brand name" of Reynold's 4130. It is also the same as Reynolds 525, with 520 being made in Taiwan, and 525 being made in USA

One thing I do not understand, is why the stock stem is for a 25.4 OD bar.

why not? it's either that or 26.0, i don't see why one is better than the other...?

Well, I suppose my experience only goes as far as looking for bullhorns, but it was near impossible for me to find bullhorns that I liked in 25.4, where as 26.0 has many more options (not to mention, a wider price range). But I suppose this specifically applies to Bullhorns rather than risers and drops.

In other words, personally, I would prefer a 26.0 bullhorn choices than the 25.4 simply due to the broader range of choices. :p

But yes, you're right, there is no difference other than that, haha.

yea, i actually know what you're talking about w/ the horns. I tried finding 25.4 horns for cheap and it was tough. Sometimes, when an OEM is picking parts for their bike, it just comes down to a matter of what they can get cheapest. Maybe specialized got a hold of these stems for a good deal so they went w/ it.

520 is a tubeset drawn from 4130 alloy. All 520 is 4130, but not all 4130 is 520.

True, I didn't actually consider the manufacturer's side of it, but I figure they're richer than me,
