Okay Patrick, you are either trolling or really new to Internet forums in general - I suggest you search the other threads in here as you will find the answers you are looking for. You may even find pictures of other peoples bikes. Oh, and if you weren't trolling, welcome to the forum.

Sorry that every one else had to be so rude. Those bikesdirect bikes are actually a bit overpriced. You should check https://www.republicbike.com. There bikes are made out of quality material like high tensil steel. Also they are sold through urban outfitters, so in a way they are backing them. Best part is you get to choose your color scheme.

By the time he finishes with those 361 pages, there will probably be 25 new threads about the TT started.

the kilo tt makes for a great starter bike if you're not afraid to wrench. however the price advantage is lost if you need to go to the local bike shop to pay for assembly and wheel truing and whatnot. if that's the case it's probably a better idea to pick up a specialized langster or fuji track through your local bike shop.
don't let that scare you though, imo these cheap bikes from bd.com make for a good opportunity to get familiar with bike maintenance without having to worry about trashing too much money.

made a stop at my lbs and they said,"These Merciers are everywhere! They're so cheap!" I'm not sure if he meant it in a negative way but I'm sure I would've got sour grapes if a n00b like me came in with a nice bike like a Masi Coltello. I have no problem having a n00b bike like the Kilo. It helps me realize the limitations I'd want to overcome when I want something nicer later on.
