Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

150 miles on a SS in a dress

and heels... and oh yeah, 84 years old.

Just awesome. Had it up elsewhere, was suggested I share it with the SS/fixie folks here. I'm going to try and not use the word can't for a while in tribute.

Great story. I did the MS tour on a fat tire chopper bike... I kinda got the same reaction, though I'm not that old.

You just keep pedaling!

I've got this poster signed by April in my office. Cute, smart, and fast on a bike.

Was it a cycling specific dress? Was it expensive?
