Pinarello Surprise Pista?

hey guys, i was wondering if anyone had any experience/knowledge about this frame.

i'm thinking of picking one up off this guy for 550 w/o cranks or bb, or wheels

does it take a english threaded bb?

also, has anyone heard of the stock parts that come with it? they're under the brand "MOST"

looks like:

the surprise happens when you overtighten the carbon steerer and it snaps inside the head tube!! surprise!!!

the parts aren't actually branded "most"!! that just means that "most" of the parts are there! which ones are missing?!?! you'll just have to find out!! what a surprise!!

hey, there's no lockring!! surprise!!!!!!

Wow! what a lot of crap/mis-information............

Pinarello make some of the absolute best road bikes on the market.

M.O.st (not MOST) is Pinarellos in house brand of bike components, very good qyality.

You would have to be a complete idiot to overtighten a carbon steerer (how do you overtighten a "steerer' you use a carbon specific expansion/compression plug which expands inside the steerer and the compression on the steerer is usually supported by the stem. These are gound on almost all hgh end carbon bikes, I dont here of many snapping!

Oh, and I'd double check the BB since most Italian manufacturers use Italian threaded BBs.

does 550 sound like a pretty good deal? i know it would be a pretty big step up from the leader, but i haven't seen hide nor hair of it anywhere on the web being reviewed.

maybe i can ask for a cheaper price minus some of the parts i don't need from it.

yea i'd pay 550 prolly. I'm sure it's a sick bike. competitivecyclist.com sells it if i'm not mistaken.

btw, i'm baffled that pinarello still uses italian bbs. they are so clearly inferior to english treaded bbs.

Even if it's an average frame, I'd still love to ride one just to have Pinarello on the downtube. Shallow? You bet, but who doesn't love flossin'?

so this is the whole bike minus the cranks and BB? i'd say that's a steal. i'd be sure to make sure nothing is screwed up on it.

i mean $2000 bike - $250 Sugino 75's (what was on it) - whatever a good BB costs - a little wear and tear = way more than $550 to me...

provided it all checks out, snag that puppy

Wow, a lot of misconception about Italian BB's...

Are you guys getting italian mixed with french?
Because everyone and their mom still makes Italian BB's.
