tool kit questions

Looking to buy a tool kit and this one is $45 shipped.

I have plenty of misc tools and simple stuff like wrenches, allen keys, screwdrivers etc. What I Need in particular is crank arm puller, all my bb are square taper, spoke wrench, chainwhip (although not that necessary) and definitely a lockring tool to tighten that down.

Does this kit have a lockring tool? I think I see it but not exactly sure. Or does anyone recommend buying the tools individually.

Theres a list of what it includes and a lockring tool and a BB tool are included, not sure if the crank puller is included in that it does have "Bottom bracket cup tool" twice so that might be that

I think their lockring tool is for cassettes though, not one for a fg cog, unless they are the same but I thougth they are different.

The lockring tool in that kit is not suitable for track lockrings. It is hinged so it slips easily, and way too short for sufficient leverage. Cheap tool kits like those are nice because they provide a lot of tools, and are fine for most basic uses. But eventually you will find the tools cheap and want to upgrade them.

in that case I may be better off buying what I need individually. Lock ring tool is one of my main concerns since I already dealt with a stripped hub

yeah i made your mistake a few years ago and got a cheap tool kit. search my name and there is a decent thread on what i bought, nad what kits others reccomend.

I was going to go the kit route, but then i just ordered ala carte from park tools the stuff i needed.
