man, this is easy! If you want to be in, you're out. If you don't care that you're out, you're in. |
i have pdx in my name since "luno" was taken and it was the first thing i could think of. i personally think the hipster population is kinda before my time. like people who are 20-35 right now are kind of in the hipster-range i think, where there's a possibility of being a hipster. but i think hipsters are fine personally. i see a few sometimes around town (maybe?). i don't get what the big deal about hating them is.
but yeah what i don't like is people being completely set for life and then "going to live with all the poor people" and getting a low-paying job, but still retaining a high quality of life. it's kind of demeaning and besides no one who's been poor wants to be poor. so its weird in that way. but i guess that's maybe not hipsters and it's a bad way to define them if it is. If you don't care that you're out, you're in. If you don't care that you're out you're in. |
not sure what hipster is to you...but the term hispter is a derogative used by nonhipster...making the non hipster a crybaby instead... i would rather be a hipster than a crybaby...

I'm so over this thread.

That video was just stupid and humorless. I bet the actors had ironic brake-downs after the shoot.

I dress like a hipster. I don't shower often. My bike isn't all "Tarked out". I'm glad people are making videos about us on youtube. The movement gains more notoriety. ;)

Didn't Bob Dylan write a song about this like 40 years ago? |

I hope you are not serious. The movement? That is the funniest thing I've heard in a while. I gotta go change my shorts now cause I peed myself a little.
I DO buy silly clothes at thrift stores because I think its socially moral. I DON'T think that there is a 'hipster movement' nor do I really want to be part of any such thing. Lol |
I think ya'll just need to shower more.
|
You're a ******* pigeon! How often do you shower?!
Nah, I think it wastes water. |
everyone has different body chemistry
some people need to shower with a higher frequency than others |
And some people think they don't smell bad.
|
And some people think this thread is ridiculous. Just ride a ****ing bike.

Exactly!
Fixed gear bikes used to be out-of-the-mainstream which made them "in." They became so popular that the major manufacturers started producing fixed gear bikes, putting them into the mainstream, which made them "out." So now, since fixed gear bikes are "out" again, they are actually "in." Unless, of course, your fixed gear bike is a road bike conversion. In that case it started life as "in" until it was converted to fixed gear which was never "in," even among the other fixed gear riders, so it was always "out" which is actually "in." Got that? |

But, doesn't that make it "out"?
I don't know anymore. |
