Keep the conversion or flip for a cheap track frame?
 

So I've been riding fixed for a few months now and I'm really enjoying it. I've put some money into my 1985(ish) Bianchi Classica frame, which was a mid-range touring bike when it was out, according to my former Bianchi rep uncle. The frame's in pretty good shape except for being scratched to hell from locking, lots of city riding, etc. I've also put some money into it in the form of dialing in my gearing with an Origin8 48t front chainring and a Surly 17t rear cog. I also bought a pair of Mavic CXP22s, which I'm pretty happy with, and I have some SPD pedals on it too.
Lately I've found that I really want an actual track frame so I don't have to retension the chain all the time, etc. Also, despite being a nice frame, the touring geometry is not the zippiest, and it's getting up there in terms of miles on the bike. I think I can flip it on craigslist and get the money to get one of the frames off bikesdirect like the Motobecane Track or the Kilo TT (or if I bite the bullet, that sexy gold Stripper). What do you guys think? Is it worth it to try to flip the bike? I have an old set of single speed wheels with a freewheel I can throw on it to sell so I can keep my CXP22s.

I'd try to sell it. I personally would keep the cxp22's. Couldn't hurt to try to sell it.

I would keep the nicer conversion and just save for the street track bike. Nothing wrong with having a nice conversion.

unless the frame has vertical drops, a frame with track ends won't make tensioning the chain any easier.

I would try to go for this. Actually, what I would probably do is by the kilo, put the cxp-22s on it, put the beater single speed wheelset on the bianchi, and sell the stock kilo wheels. Will only cost you 250 for the complete kilo and you still have a beater that you won't mind locking up for a few hours at a time.
